Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
- dash of salt
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. cinnamon oil (1 1/2 tsp. for very hot)
- red food coloring
Directions

1Cook the first 4 ingredients on medium-high heat.

2Stir and cook to 250°.

3Put in food coloring to desired color and continue cooking to 280°.

4Take off heat and let temperature rise to 300°. Put in the cinnamon oil.

5I put on a cookie sheet covered with powdered sugar.

6Score with spatula (or I use a pizza cutter) before it gets too hard to cut.

7Allow to cool, then put in airtight container.
