    In a mixing bowl, combine the first four ingredients.

    In a saucepan, combine water, oil, butter and cocoa; bring to a boil over medium heat.

    Pour over dry ingredients; mix well.

    Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and baking soda; mix well.
