Cinnamon Date Cake

  • 125 grams Soft Margarine/ butter
  • 125 grams Brown sugar
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 225 grams Self- raising flour, sieved
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 75 ml Milk
  • 125 grams Chopped Dates

Directions

    Pre-heat the oven to 180 c/ 350 F/ Gas Mark 4

    Grease and line the cake tin you are going to use.

    Cream the margarine/butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  4. 4
    Gradually add the beaten egg to the mixture
  5. 5
    Fold and sieve the flour, cinnamon and the milk and dates and mix thoroughly
  6. 6
    Put the batter in the tin and place in the oven for 1h to1h and 1/4
  7. 7
    Allow to cool slightly before removing from the tin
  8. 8
