- 1 1/4 c. scalded milk, divided
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. quick oats
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. flour, divided
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup milk, cooled.

2Pour 1 cup hot milk over oatmeal, butter, sugar and salt.

3Mix eggs, yeast and 2 cups flour and mix.

4Add 1 cup flour, more or less.

5Don't make it too stiff.

6Let rise 1 hour; knead down.

7Let rest for 15 to 20 minutes.

8Form into large ball.

9Divide into quarters; divide quarters into 8 pieces.

10Form into balls and put on cookie sheet. Let rise until double.

11Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.

12Melt 1 cup butter.

13Roll balls in melted margarine and in mixture of 1 cup sugar to 2 teaspoons cinnamon.

14Roll in mixture while still warm.
