- 3/4 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. melted shortening
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. soft butter
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- raisins
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Add shortening, salt, 1/4 cup sugar, egg and 1 cup flour.

3Beat 2 minutes with electric mixer. Add remaining flour and blend.

4Use enough flour to knead for a soft dough.

5Let rise until double, about 1 hour.

6Roll on board 12 x 9-inches.

7Spread with soft butter.

8Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons sugar, cinnamon and raisins.

9Roll up and cut into 15 pieces. Place cut side down in pan.

10Let rise until light; bake at 375° for 25 minutes.
