  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 qt. lukewarm milk
  • 2 tsp. shortening
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 10 to 12 c. flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in milk.

    Add shortening, margarine, eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla; beat well.

    Add flour, a little at a time.

    Beat with mixer as long as possible.

    (When adding flour, add until dough is no longer sticky.)

    Cover and place in a warm place until double in bulk.

    Punch down.
