Ingredients

  • 1 1/8 c. water
  • 3 c. white flour
  • 1 Tbsp. dry milk
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. yeast

    If you have a bread machine, put all the ingredients in the bread machine and turn it on, if not mix together the ingredients, knead and set it aside.

    In either case, in an hour punch down and pump it out on a floured counter and knead a bit.

    Roll it out with a rolling pin until 1/4 inch thick.

    Spread with butter or margarine and sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

    Roll it up, moisten the edge and cut in 1 1/2 inch pieces and lay gently on a greased cookie sheet.

    Cover; let rise 1 hour.

    Bake at 375° about 15 minutes.

    While hot drizzle with confectioners sugar moistened with water and flavored with vanilla. Eat them right away!
