Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
- dash of sugar
- 2 c. milk, scalded
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 cube margarine
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 6 to 7 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water; add dash of sugar.

2Add scalded milk, margarine, salt and sugar.

3Mix until margarine is melted.

4Add beaten eggs; mix.

5Add 3 cups flour and mix until batter is smooth. Add yeast mixture.

6Add just enough flour to make a sticky dough, about 3 cups.

7Use remaining 1 cup of flour on floured surface. Knead until it's all gone.

8Let dough rise 1 hour.

9Divide into 2 parts.

10Roll dough out.

11Cover entire surface with melted margarine.

12Sprinkle generously with sugar and cinnamon.

13Crumble brown sugar and sprinkle over dough.

14Add raisins, if desired. Roll and cut into slices about 1 1/4 inches thick.

15Place close together on a greased cookie sheet.

16Repeat with second section of dough.

17Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.

18Frost, if desired.
