- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. warm water
- 1 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. warm water
- 6 c. flour
- butter
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
Directions

1Dissolve the yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar in 1 cup warm water. Add the shortening, sugar, salt, beaten eggs and 1 cup warm water. Add 3 cups of flour at first; beat with wire whisk, then add remaining flour, 1 cup at a time, stirring in with wooden spoon. Cover bowl; let rise 1 hour.

2Flour board and roll out 1/2 of dough to 1/4-inch thickness.

3Spread with butter, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/2 cup brown sugar.

4You can add more sugar so it makes its own glaze.

5Roll up and cut into 1-inch slices to place in greased pan.

6Let rise 2 hours.

7Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
