Cinnamon Sticks

  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 beaten egg white
  • 2 c. flour (plain)
  • 1 c. nuts

    Cream margarine and sugar together.

    Add cinnamon, egg yolk and vanilla.

    Beat well.

    Add flour.

    Knead this mixture and spread thin on a cookie sheet.

    Glaze with beaten egg white. Brush off excess egg white.

    Spread with finely chopped nuts.

    (Be generous with nuts.)

    Bake in slow oven (325°), until golden brown, about 25 minutes.

    Cut into sticks while warm.
