Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. diced bacon (or 4 Tbsp. butter)
  • 4 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 2 (7 oz.) cans minced clams
  • 2 c. diced potatoes
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Cook bacon slowly in a Dutch oven until fat begins to fry out. Add minced onion and cook over low heat until onion turns yellow.

    Add liquid from the 2 cans of clams, potatoes and boiling water.

    Cook until potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes.

    Just before serving, add clams, milk, salt and pepper.

    Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.

    Serve immediately.
