- 1 1/2 c. celery, diced
- 3 cans clams, minced or chopped (with juice)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1 qt. half and half cream or mix even amounts with milk
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. flour
Directions

1Pour clams with juice over potatoes and celery; add water just to cover vegetables.

2Boil until tender.

3Drain, except for very small amount (liquid depends on how thick you want chowder).
