  • 1 pt. clams
  • 1/4 c. salt pork or bacon, chopped
  • 1/4 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 c. clam liquid (add water to make 1 c.)
  • 1 c. diced potatoes
  • 2 c. milk

Directions

    Drain clams, save liquid and chop clams.

    Fry salt pork or bacon until lightly brown. Add onion and cook until tender.

    Add liquid, potatoes and seasonings.

    Cook 15 minutes until potatoes are tender. Add milk and heat thoroughly, but don't boil.

    Stir in chopped clams and warm gently, 2 to 5 minutes.
