Ingredients

  • 4 strips bacon, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 can clams
  • 4 or 5 diced potatoes
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 1/2 c. half and half

Directions

    Fry bacon and onion.

    Drain one can clams.

    Reserve clams and add enough water to juice to make 2 cups.

    Add this to bacon and onions.

    Also add diced potatoes and grated carrot.

    Add salt and celery salt.

    Cook until potatoes are tender.

    Mix cornstarch with half and half.

    Add to soup mixture.

    Stir until it thickens a little.

    Add clams.
