Ingredients

  • 3 green onions, diced
  • 3 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1/2 green pepper, diced
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1 tin clams
  • 4 c. water
  • 3 medium potatoes, cubed
  • 3 oz. pimento
  • 1 (9 oz.) can tomatoes, drained (optional)
  • 1 c. chicken bouillon

Directions

    Saute onions, celery and pepper in butter.

    Add flour gradually and cook 5 minutes.

    Add salt, pepper and thyme.

    Add the chicken bouillon to water, then add to flour mixture.

    Add vegies and clams with pimento and simmer 30 minutes.

    Add (half and half) cream before serving.
