  • 12 large clams
  • 1 1/2 qt. diced potatoes
  • 2 (20 oz.) cans tomatoes
  • 1 c. onion, diced
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, cut in small pieces
  • 3 qt. water
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper

Directions

    Run clams and tomatoes through food grinder.

    Put in large pot and add water, salt and pepper.

    Brown bacon in skillet.

    Add bacon and drippings to pot.

    Cook for 45 minutes.

    Add potatoes and cook 20 minutes longer.

    Serves 8.
