- 4 strips bacon
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- salt
- 2 c. milk
- 2/3 c. whipped cream or half and half
- 3 c. potatoes, diced
- 2 to 3 cans chopped calms
- pepper
- 1/4 c. flour
Directions

1Cut the bacon into 1/2-inch pieces and lay in bottom of a 3-quart casserole dish.

2Bake in microwave 3 to 4 minutes.

3Add the potatoes and onion; cover with the clam juice from the canned clams.

4Cook in the microwave 10 to 15 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.

5Add 1 2/3 cups milk (I use part half and half and part milk).

6Mix the remaining 1/3 cup milk with the flour.

7Add to potato mixture and stir.

8Cook in the microwave for 8 to 10 minutes, until thickened; stir every 2 minutes.

9When the mixture is thickened, add the clams and whipping cream.

10Cook another 4 minutes.
