Ingredients

  • 1 can baby clams
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • hot sauce (optional)

Directions

    Heat clams and juice on medium heat and add butter.

    Simmer for 5 minutes.

    Add vegetables and cook until potatoes are tender. Mix together milk, can milk and cornstarch and pour into clam mixture.

    Ready to serve when chowder has thickened.
