- 1 stick butter
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1/2 c. flour
- 4 c. clam broth
- 1 (12 oz.) can chopped clams
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 3 pieces cooked bacon, crumbled
- 2 c. chopped and boiled potatoes
- 1 pt. half and half
Directions

1In large pan, melt butter.

2Add onion and celery.

3Cook until tender.

4Add flour and make a roux.

5In separate pan heat clam broth.

6Add roux to broth.

7Whisk until thickened.

8Whisk into pan the clams, bouillon cubes and bacon.

9Cook for 20 minutes.

10Add potatoes.

11Let stand 20 minutes.

12Heat half and half in separate pan.

13Add to chowder.

14Stir and serve immediately.
