- 8 thin slices salt pork
- 1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter
- 3 c. diced onions
- 6 c. cubed potatoes
- 1/2 c. flour
- 4 c. clam juice
- 3 c. chopped clams
- 1 pt. light cream
Directions

1Saute salt pork in large pot until rendered.

2Add butter and heat over low heat until bubbly.

3Add onions and cook 5 minutes. Add potatoes and cook 5 minutes, add water to cover.

4Add flour, stirring an additional 3 minutes.

5Add clam juice and cook until potatoes are tender.

6Add chopped clams until well heated, then add cream.

7Do not boil.

8(You can use bacon instead of salt pork if desired.)
