Clam Spaghetti

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 large chopped onion
- 3 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tbsp. dried basil
- 1 Tbsp. oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 (4 1/2 oz.) cans chopped clams, drained (but save liquid)
- 1 lb. spaghetti, cooked
- 1 c. chopped parsley
- grated Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Put oil in skillet and add onion and garlic, cooking slowly, about 30 minutes.

2Add basil, oregano, salt, pepper and liquid from clams.

3Simmer until some of the liquid is reduced.

4Cook spaghetti al dente in salted water.

5Add clams, parsley and 3 tablespoons cheese to sauce; simmer on low heat for 5 minutes. Drain pasta and add to sauce; stir.

6Sprinkle generously with grated cheese and serve from skillet.
