- 1 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 3 (6 1/2 oz.) cans chopped clams, drained
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped parsley
- 2 Tbsp. chopped chives
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
- dash of ground red pepper
- dash of freshly ground black pepper
- 1 loaf cocktail size pumpernickel bread
Directions

1Combine cheese, clams, parsley, chives, garlic and peppers. Mix until well blended.

2Spread mixture on slices of bread.

3Place on broiler or cookie sheet.

4Broil until golden brown and bubbly, about 5 to 10 minutes.

5Serve immediately.
