Classic Bean Burgers

- 5 cloves Garlic
- 13 cups Red Onion
- 1/2 cups Almonds
- 1/2 cups Sunflower Seeds
- 1/2 cups Fresh Cilantro
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne
- 1 teaspoon Olive Oil
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 pinch Freshly Ground Pepper
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Pinto Beans
- 1/2 cups Dried Bread Crumbs
Directions

1Preheat a grill to medium heat.

2Peel the garlic cloves.

3In the bowl of a food processor, add the red onion and garlic and process until finely chopped.

4(If you dont have a food processor, chop finely with a knife.)

5Add almonds, sunflower seeds, fresh cilantro, hot chili powder (cayenne), olive oil, salt, and a good amount of fresh ground pepper.

6Pulse 10 to 15 times until the mixture is coarsely chopped.

7(If not using a food processor, coarsely chop the almonds, sunflower seeds, and cilantro, and combine with the other ingredients.)

8Drain and rinse the beans.

9In a medium bowl, mash the beans with a potato masher.

10Stir in the ingredients from the steps above, and add the bread crumbs.

11Mix together with your hands; taste and add more salt if desired.

12Form the mixture into four patties.
-
13Place on a grill and grill for 6 to 8 minutes per side, depending on the heat of the grill.

14Or, bake them in a 450 degrees F oven for 30 minutes, flipping after 15 minutes.
