Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. each: baking soda and salt
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Cracker Barrel Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • apple jelly (optional)

Directions

    COMBINE flour, sugar, baking powder and soda, and salt.

    Stir in cheese.

    Blend together yogurt, butter and eggs.

    ADD liquid to dry ingredients.

    Stir only until moistened.

    Spoon into 12 large greased muffin cups.

    BAKE at 400F (200C) for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Serve warm with apple jelly, if desired.
