Classic Simple Chili

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 (29 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans red kidney beans
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

    Brown ground beef in a pot, drain.

    Add in beans, tomato sauce , chili powder, and cayenne pepper.

    Heat to a boil, then cover and reduce to low and simmer slowly for 4-8 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to prevent sticking at the bottom.

    If you like it hotter, add more chili powder, cayenne pepper, or even a whole jalapeno pepper and remove the pepper before serving.
