- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 2/3 c. corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- paste food coloring of choice
Directions

1Spray molds with cooking spray.

2Combine sugar, corn syrup and water in a heavy 2-quart saucepan.

3Stir until well mixed.

4Before putting pan on stove, remove sugar crystals on sides of pan with a brush in water.

5Sides must be perfectly clean above water level. Begin cooking.

6Cook to 300°.

7Do not stir while cooking.

8Add desired food coloring when the liquid reaches 265°.

9Do not stir it in.

10Boiling will distribute color.

11Pour finished syrup (at 300°) into oiled molds and let cool.

12Remove from molds before the candy sticks to the mold.

13Syrup can also be poured into well oiled flat pans, scored and broken into pieces.

14Store candy in a cool, dry place.
