Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 11 oz. or 1/2 qt. (one 16 oz. bag) raw Spanish peanuts
- 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
- 2 oz. margarine, cut in pieces
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Mix sugar, syrup and water together and cook to 240°, stirring constantly.

2Add the peanuts and cook to 280°, stirring constantly.

3Add margarine, cut in pieces.

4Cook to 294°.

5Mix baking soda and salt and add to candy.

6Turn off fire.
-
7Stir constantly until it rises second time or takes on the peanut brittle color.

8Pour on two Teflon cookie sheets.
-
9Candy will spread itself.
-
10Keep stirring as you pour.
