Ingredients

  • 1 qt. fruit (peaches, cherries, apples)
  • 5 Tbsp. self-rising flour
  • 5 Tbsp. sugar and seasoning (optional: cherries - almond; peaches - cinnamon; apples - cinnamon and nutmeg; blueberries - lemon juice)
  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water

Directions

    Put fruit in bowl and sprinkle sugar and flour over fruit. Mix next three ingredients and spread over fruit.

    Mix next 2 ingredients and pour over all.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
