- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 c. sifted enriched flour
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Cream butter to soften.

2Gradually add sugar and vanilla; cream well.

3Beat in eggs, one at a time.

4Stir in milk.

5Sift together dry ingredients; stir into creamed mixture.

6Add nuts. Spread in a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

7Bake at 375° for 20 minutes or until done.

8At once, frost cake with Cocoa Frosting.
