- 2 c. nuts
- 1/2 candied pineapple, sliced thinly
- 1/2 c. candied cherries
- 1 stick real butter
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Line bottom of a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan with coarsely chopped nuts.

2Put on top of nuts, pineapple and chopped cherries.

3This will not be as thickly covered as the nuts.

4Cream butter, brown sugar, eggs, flour and vanilla.

5Mix as any cake.

6Spoon over fruit and nuts.

7Cook at 300° for 1 hour.

8Cut in squares while still hot.

9Cool.

10Store in a tightly sealed tin.
