Ingredients

  • 2 c. nuts
  • 1/2 candied pineapple, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 c. candied cherries
  • 1 stick real butter
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Line bottom of a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan with coarsely chopped nuts.

    Put on top of nuts, pineapple and chopped cherries.

    This will not be as thickly covered as the nuts.

    Cream butter, brown sugar, eggs, flour and vanilla.

    Mix as any cake.

    Spoon over fruit and nuts.

    Cook at 300° for 1 hour.

    Cut in squares while still hot.

    Cool.

    Store in a tightly sealed tin.
