- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 c. margarine (room temperature)
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. nuts (optional)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Grease 16 x 8 x 2-inch pan.

2Start oven 10 minutes before baking; set at 350°.

3Sift flour, measure, re-sift 3 times with cocoa and sugar.

4In a large mixing bowl, add butter, eggs and vanilla.

5Blend in flour mixture.

6Beat 2 minutes on medium speed. Stir in nuts.

7Bake 20 to 22 minutes or until barely done.
