Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 1/4 cups salted peanuts roasted
  • 3 cups coconut raw chip

Directions

    Cook sugar, water, and vinegar to 300 degrees.

    Remove from heat.

    Add salt and butter, stirring until butter is melted.

    Quickly stir in peanuts and coconut.

    Spread as thinly as possible on heavily grease cookie sheets or on well greased marble slab.

    Let cool a few minutes.

    Then turn over.

    When cool, break into pieces and store in a tight container.

    Makes 40 pieces.
