- 3 large eggs
- 2 c. Colonial sugar
- 9 oz. Crisco oil
- 9 oz. buttermilk with 1/2 tsp. soda added
- 2 c. Gold Medal flour with 3 heaping tsp. baking powder added
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Directions

1Mix eggs, sugar and oil well at high speed.

2Add buttermilk and mix well.

3Add flour and keep mixing for about 3 minutes.

4Add vanilla and salt; stir in.

5Grease and flour three 8-inch cake pans.

6Pour into pans and bake at 350° until done.

7Cool in pans before frosting.
