- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. soft butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease two 9-inch pans and dust with flour.

3Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

4In separate bowl, cream the sugar and butter, then add eggs and vanilla; beat well.

5Add dry ingredients and milk alternately, starting with dry ingredients, and beat until smooth.

6Pour batter into pans and bake 20 to 25 minutes.

7Cool.
