- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. Crisco
- 5 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. coconut flavoring
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen coconut
Directions

1Cream sugar and Crisco.

2Add eggs; beat well.

3Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk.

4Add coconut flavoring and coconut last.

5Beat well.

6Bake in greased and floured Bundt pan for 1 hour (350°).

7Leave in pan to cool.

8While cake is still warm, mix 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water.

9Boil 1 minute and add 1 1/2 teaspoons coconut flavoring.

10Punch holes in cake and pour sugar mixture over cake.

11Can put powdered sugar frosting on cake when cool, if desired.
