  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. Knox gelatine
  • 2 c. grated coconut
  • 3 egg whites, beaten
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 (8-inch) pie shells

    Mix sugar, salt and

    together.

    the milk. Cook until thickened.

    Add gelatine that

    has been softened in a little cold water.

    When partly set, add

    coconut, flavoring and beaten egg whites. Pour into baked pie shells.

    Sprinkle top with coconut.
