- 3 sticks butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 8 oz. sour cream with 1/4 tsp. salt dissolved in it
- 1 c. flaked coconut
Directions

1Preheat oven to 300°.

2Grease and flour large tube pan. Cream butter and sugar, adding eggs one at a time.

3Mix well after each addition.

4Add flour and baking soda, then vanilla and sour cream, mixing well.

5Stir in coconut.

6Spoon into tube pan.

7Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.

8Do not test with toothpick too often or too soon as cake may fall.
