- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 1/2 tsp. coconut flavoring
- 1 can flaked coconut
Directions

1Cream shortening and sugar together; add one egg at a time and beat well.

2Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

3Add buttermilk and flour alternately and mix well.

4Add coconut flavoring and coconut.

5Bake in a stem pan at 350° for 50 minutes.
