- 3 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 can coconut
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 egg and milk for 1 c.
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- melted butter
- sugar
Directions

1Cream butter, sugar, egg and milk.

2Mix flour mixture in.

3Add vanilla. Mix together well.

4Make 3 balls, roll out thin.

5Spread melted butter over dough.

6Sprinkle sugar and coconut over half of dough.

7Fold in half, cut into strips about 1/2 inch wide and twist.

8Place on a greased cookie sheet.

9Bake at 425° for 15 minutes.

10Roll in powdered sugar.
