  • vegetable oil
  • 7 ounces cod
  • milk
  • 1 potato
  • ground black pepper
  • 8 slices bread

    In a skillet, add enough oil to cover the cod. Cook on low heat for about 5 minutes.

    Remove the fish, reserving the oil. Crumble the fish well into a bowl and set aside.

    In a pot filled with salted water, add the potato and boil for about 15 minutes. Drain the potato, place into a bowl and mash.

    Whisk together the cod with the potato with a few drops of milk.

    Add a tablespoon of oil and mix well. Add a few more drops of milk and mix well. Continue to add oil and milk until you achieve a creamy consistency. Season with black pepper to taste.

    Toast the bread and spread the dip on top. Place under a broiler until the tops are golden brown.
