- 4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. walnuts
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. raisins
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Mix 2 cups flour with yeast.

2Stir water, milk, butter, sugar and salt together and cook over a low heat until butter melts. Cool 5 minutes.

3Add flour and yeast, remaining flour, nuts, raisins and eggs.

4Dough will be stiff.

5Knead until smooth and elastic.

6Divide dough in half and place half in each of 2 (1 pound) coffee cans.

7Cover with lid and let rise in warm place until dough is 1-inch from the top.

8Remove lid and bake at 375° for 35 minutes.
