- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup strong coffee
- 1 cup milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 baked pastry shells
- Meringue
- 12 egg whites
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions

1Heat oven to 350.

2Combine flour, salt and sugar, mix well.

3Add in the coffee and milk.

4Cook until thick, and stir constantly.

5Slowly stir in beaten yolks, cook 1 minute.

6Add butter, combine.

7Let cool well.

8When cooled, pour into shell.

9MERINGUE:

10Beat whites until frothy. Gradually add in the sugar and vanilla extract, & continue to beat until stiff.

11Top pie with meringue.

12Bake for 10-15 minutes.
