Cola Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 lb. eye roast
  • oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 1 lb. bag carrots, sliced
  • 1 c. cola
  • 1/2 bottle chili sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • cornstarch

Directions

    Brown all sides of roast in hot oil.

    Add salt and pepper to taste and onions and carrots.
  3. 3
    Stir in cola, chili sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. 4
    Add enough water to mixture to cover approximately 2/3's of the roast with liquid.

    Cover pot and place in a 325° oven for 3 to 4 hours.

    Thicken liquid with cornstarch and water mixture.
  7. 7
    Serve with hot mashed potatoes or extra wide egg noodles.
