- 6 whole Potatoes, Peeled And Quartered
- 1 whole Sweet Onion, Chopped Medium Fine
- 1/2 whole Cabbage, Shredded Finely As For Coleslaw (or 1 Package Angel Hair Shredded Cabbage)
- 1 Tablespoon Salt, Or To Taste
- 1-1/2 stick Butter, Divided
- 1/2 cups Cream
Directions

1Peel and quarter the potatoes and cover with water. Add salt. Bring to a boil and cook until fork-tender. Mash with 1/2 stick butter and 1/2 cup cream.

2Meanwhile, melt remaining stick of butter in a skillet and add chopped onion and shredded cabbage. Reduce heat to low and cover skillet. Do not brown, just cook until onion is translucent. Stir mashed potatoes into cabbage-onion mixture and adjust seasonings.

3Great with ham. Serves six.
