- 1 bunch fresh asparagus
- red or green leaf lettuce
- 1 jar sliced pimientos
- alfalfa sprouts
- balsamic vinegar
- ground pepper
Directions

1Cut off hard ends of asparagus; boil spears for 5 minutes. Place lettuce leaves on a dish.

2Place pimientos over the lettuce (drain oil).

3Place 5 asparagus spears on top of lettuce and pimiento.

4Top asparagus with a clump of sprouts.

5Chill in refrigerator for 1/2 hour.

6Pour balsamic vinegar to taste over asparagus.

7Sprinkle ground pepper to taste.
