  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. flavoring (preferably almond)
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk

Directions

    Cream butter and shortening; add sugar and cream some more. Add eggs, one at a time and beat after each.

    Alternate flour and milk, ending with flour.

    Add flavoring.

    Pour into a greased and floured angel food cake pan.

    Bake at 325°, starting with a cold oven for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
