- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. sweet milk
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. plain Red Band flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. walnut flavoring
- 1 tsp. butternut flavoring
- 1 1/2 c. black walnuts
Directions

1Cream sugar, butter and Crisco together.

2Add eggs, beating after each addition.

3Add milk alternating with flour.

4Add walnuts that have been blended.

5Beat for 8 to 10 minutes at high speed.

6Put in cold oven and bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
