  • 1 Medium head cabbage, cored and sliced or shredded finely
  • 1 Tablespoon grated sweet onion (optional)
  • 1 Freash carrot, grated
  • 1 cup homemade texas mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon suger
  • salt and pepper, for taste
  • Homemade texas mayonnaise:
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard or 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice or vinegar
  • Fresh parsley, basil, oregano leaves (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1/2 cup corn oil
  • 1/2 cup oilve oil
