- 34 cup sugar
- 12 cup white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 medium head of cabbage, shredded
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, shredded (optional)
Directions

1In a saucepan, heat oil, sugar,vinegar,mustard, salt and celery seed and bring to a rolling boil.

2Pour the hot mixture over the vegetables, stirring well to combine.
