  • 1 small head cabbage, grated or finely sliced
  • 1/4 c. boiling water
  • salt
  • 1 large carrot peeled and finely grated
  • 1 small green pepper, sliced very thin
  • juice of 1 small lemon
  • 1/4 c. fresh dill or 2 Tbsp. dried dill
  • 1 to 2 c. mayonnaise

    Pour boiling water over cabbage. Add salt and knead well.
